Guardians of Stormbow
The motherland of the goblins. This boiling chasm, low in a wide stony valley, descends for miles. Caverns, warrens, and dungeons, many of them miles wide bore into the rock, host to countless battles. At the very heart of the chasm is an artifact that the goblins call Bloodheart, though none but goblin eyes have seen it. It is told that the first goblins sprang from Bloodheart, and each seeing the lovely stone sought to claim it for him or herself, and so the goblins were baptized in blood as they fought each other for it.
What powers Bloodheart may have is unknown, and the goblins themselves seem unable to wield it in any capacity. They merely worship it as their progenitor, and covet it as a treasure beyond value. It pulses with energy in the darkest depths of the Vale, fueling the goblin’s rage. Some scholars believe that the stone is a prison to some god whose name has been forgotten, and that the bonds of this prison are weakening, ever so slowly, allowing the god to influence the world once more.
Orgeth Vale itself is a land of ash, propelled by furnace winds, and dotted with lava flows. Great treasures lie deep in this land, but virtually all who seek to claim it have met a quick end at the end of a dozen or so spears.
